Hosting and delivery
The site runs on Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, page, browser and country to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running it securely and fast (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We use the country of your visit only to send you to the matching country page on your first visit.
No cookies, only anonymous visitor statistics
We set no cookies and use no tracking. For visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics: it sets no cookies, builds no profiles and only shows us totals, such as how often a page was viewed, from which countries and how fast it loads. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Search and the suggestions while you type run on our own server.
“Notify me”
When you ask to be notified once a game joins a subscription or gets cheaper, we store your email address, the country, the game and the time. The data is kept at Cloudflare and at the email service Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA), which sends the emails. Kit measures whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us; we then delete your address. Transfers to the US are covered by the safeguards in Kit’s data processing agreement.
Game images
Cover art is loaded directly from the providers’ servers: image.api.playstation.com (Sony Interactive Entertainment), store-images.s-microsoft.com (Microsoft), www.nintendo.com and assets.nintendo.com (Nintendo), img.nvidiagrid.net (NVIDIA). They receive your IP address and browser data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in showing the games with their official images.
Links to stores and services
Links to the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, Steam, Epic Games Store, GeForce NOW and the subscription pages are plain links: only when you click them do the privacy policies of those providers apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Just send us an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
